A new theory on Mothman and friends

Morpheus (mythology) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Morpheus (play /ˈmɔrfiəs/ or /ˈmɔrfjuːs/; Greek: Μορφεύς, Morpheus, or Μορφέας, Morpheas, "shaper [of dreams]") in Greek mythology is the god of dreams, leader of the Oneiroi. Morpheus has the ability to take any human form and appear in dreams. His true semblance is that of a winged daemon, imagery shared with many of his siblings.

The classical description of the daemons, in particular Sleep, Shaper, Frightener and Seemer, are of jet black bat winged entities with incurving horned featureless heads.
