At the beginning of the previous aeon, both dinosaurs and a primitive hominid coexisted quite happily.
However just around the corner was an event- still unclear- which set the tone for the whole 27,000 year spree.
From that basic furry human stock came neanderthal, cro magnon, alien-interfered point heads, and the whole real tree of the human race from faerie to pixie to halfling to human to ogre to troll to giant.
Then came the cataclysms- three in that span of time- to burn, flood and destroy with wild animals all that had been.
And here we are right at the start of the same carnage all over again!
