Identical Strangers: HuffPo catches up with an article published here over a year ago: 'I'm Not A Lookalike' Project Showcases Strangers Who Look Like Twins (PHOTOS)

'I'm Not A Lookalike' Project Showcases Strangers Who Look Like Twins (PHOTOS)

The real question about identical strangers is, when they are living a mile away from each other and belong to the same mothers' group, why didn't ANYONE at some point EVER say, "jeebus prison showering christ you two are identical!" huh?

Seems very odd no one would remark on it.

Nancy Lanza and Ann E Haddad for example.

I wonder if the whole doppelganger photo project is nothing more than case management to cover the use of lookalikes in intel operations- going back to the many Lee Harvey Oswalds and James Earl Ray lookalike who kindly provided him with a passport for his government funded overseas travel?

Real life superhero stops fight against crime after he is attacked - Telegraph

Real life superhero stops fight against crime after he is attacked - Telegraph

A man who dressed as a superhero to fight petty crime has hung up his outfit after he was beaten up.

Roger Hayhurst, who also goes by the name Knight Warrior, hit the headlines in 2011 after it emerged he patrolled streets near his home in Swinton, Greater Manchester, breaking up fights and tackling anti-social behaviour.
Mr Hayhurst vowed "to get crime off the streets" and even hoped to become the first elected mayor of Salford before a lack of funding scuppered his political ambitions.
Mr Hayhurst, 20, who used a custom-made £200 blue-and-black lycra costume which his mother helped him buy from a US firm, was later joined by his Rebecca, his 18-year-old fiancee who met him after hearing of his bravery. She would go by the name Knight Maiden.
But Mr Hayhurst, a gardener, has now scaled back his crime-fighting after being attacked while on patrol.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "We were recognised when we were walking thorough Clifton and some lads started punching me.
"My face was all swollen. After that I still dress up and occasionally patrol, but I mainly dress up for charity appearances."

"Rebecca has got rid of her costume now."

His mother, Jennifer, 61, admitted last year that she sometimes worried when he was out on the streets but the "police keep an eye on him".

She added: "His absolute genuineness is his best defence. He is one of the kindest young men I know."
The couple host a local radio show. Mr Hayhurst hopes to emulate his hero Superman by becoming a journalist.

They talk of the triumph of the machine, but the machine will never triumph.

The Triumph of the Machine

They talk of the triumph of the machine,
but the machine will never triumph.

Out of the thousands and thousands of centuries of man
the unrolling of ferns, white tongues of the acanthus lapping at the sun,
for one sad century
machines have triumphed, rolled us hither and thither,
shaking the lark's nest till the eggs have broken.

Shaken the marshes, till the geese have gone
and the wild swans flown away singing the swan-song at us.

Hard, hard on the earth the machines are rolling,
but through some hearts they will never roll.

The lark nests in his heart
and the white swan swims in the marshes of his loins,
and through the wide prairies of his breast a young bull herds his cows,
lambs frisk among the daisies of his brain.

And at last
all these creatures that cannot die, driven back
into the uttermost corners of the soul,
will send up the wild cry of despair.

The thrilling lark in a wild despair will trill down arrows from the sky,
the swan will beat the waters in rage, white rage of an enraged swan,
even the lambs will stretch forth their necks like serpents,
like snakes of hate, against the man in the machine:
even the shaking white poplar will dazzle like splinters of glass against him.

And against this inward revolt of the native creatures of the soul
mechanical man, in triumph seated upon the seat of his machine
will be powerless, for no engine can reach into the marshes and depths of a man.

So mechanical man in triumph seated upon the seat of his machine
will be driven mad from within himself, and sightless, and on that day
the machines will turn to run into one another
traffic will tangle up in a long-drawn-out crash of collision
and engines will rush at the solid houses, the edifice of our life
will rock in the shock of the mad machine, and the house will come down.

Then, far beyond the ruin, in the far, in the ultimate, remote places
the swan will lift up again his flattened, smitten head
and look round, and rise, and on the great vaults of his wings
will sweep round and up to greet the sun with a silky glitter of a new day
and the lark will follow trilling, angerless again,
and the lambs will bite off the heads of the daisies for very friskiness.
But over the middle of the earth will be the smoky ruin of iron
the triumph of the machine.

Does the Ether exist?

Ether Detection Experiments

In 1887, Albert Abraham Michelson and Edward William Morley published the results of an experiment which was the successor to a similar experiment which Michelson had performed in 1881. The purpose of the two experiments was to prove the existence of the luminiferous ether. It was supposed that light would travel at different velocities, according to the direction of movement of the earth's surface relative to the ether. A light beam, split to go in two directions at ninety degrees to one another, converged after taking paths of equal distance. When the beams converged they interfered with one another. By rotating the apparatus, a maximum interference was found which showed the difference in the velocities between the two parts of the split beam, and thus showed the presence of ether.

The difference between the light velocities was used to calculate an ether velocity relative to the earth's surface. However, the relative ether velocity that they found was much lower than anticipated. Through the years that followed, similar experiments were performed with much greater accuracy. The last was in 1932 (see Volume 7, Issue 38 of Infinite Energy Magazine, Dayton Miller's Ether-Drift Experiments - A Fresh Look by James DeMeo). In the most detailed experiments, a seasonally consistent low relative velocity was found. But rather than acknowledging the results of the experiments and moving on with the information provided, the lower relative ether velocity was considered a flaw in the experiment. The proponents of corpuscular theory later asserted that these experiments had found no relative ether velocity whatsoever, and the myth they started became dogma.

An experiment was performed in 1914 by Sagnac in which a light beam was split into two parts. One part moved along a path which was square in shape. The other part moved along the same path but in the opposite direction. The apparatus was set spinning so that, if there were an ether, the two parts of the beam would move at two different velocities. The interfering parts at the termination point would disclose the existence of the ether. And, in fact, that is exactly what happened. Furthermore, there was no strangeness in the magnitude of relative ether velocity. All was as it should have been. Other similar experiments followed which also proved the existence of the ether. There were no discrepancies between theory and results as had been the case with the Michelson-Morley type of experiment.

Unfortunately, relativity by this time was considered to be correct and many reputations (and egos) could be damaged by the disclosure of the existence of an ether. So the Sagnac experiment was suppressed as were all similar subsequent experiments. Einstein ignored Sagnac and his work.

Today, the same kinds of reputations and egos might be damaged, so physicists in general continue to ignore Sagnac. However, engineers use the "Sagnac effect" when they design their navigation systems for transoceanic aircraft, nuclear submarines, and communications satellites. Without this "effect" the navigation systems could not work properly. For more details, see two articles in Volume 7, Issue 39, of Infinite Energy Magazine, one by A. G. Kelly, and the other by the Correas.

BBC News - Australian PM sets out Afghan exit plan

BBC News - Australian PM sets out Afghan exit plan

Australia has some 1,550 troops serving in Afghanistan, mainly in the Uruzgan region.
Since 2001, a total of 32 Australian soldiers have been killed in the country, according to Australian media.

The new timeline would likely see most of the troops back home before the election next year.
Ms Gillard's minority administration has been slipping in popularity and some observers say Labor could be heading for defeat at the polls. StumbleUpon
