Bligh needs to be told about glaring conflict in sharing counsel

A SIGNIFICANT taxpayer-funded curiosity at Queensland's $15 million Floods Commission of Inquiry raises serious questions about the Bligh government's intentions.

The unusual decision of the government and the crown to instruct its top lawyer at the inquiry, Alan MacSporran SC, to continue to look after the interests of one of Wivenhoe Dam's flood engineers, while MacSporran is acting for the government, is a terrible look.
