Jamie Alexander Teases ‘Thor 2′ Romance, Possible ‘Avengers’ Appearance

"Thor 2" doesn't strike theaters until September 2013, but actors are already lining up for a return trip to Asgard. Jamie Alexander, who played the fierce warrior Sif in the first film, spoke with MTV News recently and said that while she's not officially signed on, she's had "a few discussions" about returning for a sequel, and she already has ideas for where her character should go next.

"I'm a comic book nerd at heart, so I'd like to see the relationship between Thor and Sif progress," she said during the press junket for "Loosies," her new movie opposite "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli. "Whether or not they do that, we're not sure yet. We'll see. I think that element will be in there, but I don’t know how much."

As a self-proclaimed "comic book nerd," Alexander must be pretty excited about the upcoming "Avengers" movie that gathers Thor, Captain America and Iron Man together on screen for the very first time. "Captain America" female lead Hayley Atwell recently admitted that she won't be in the movie, but Alexander wasn't so quick to dismiss her own involvement.
"I can't tell you," she teased when asked if she had an "Avengers" appearance in the cards. "Sometimes you never know. It'll be funny—they'll call you and they'll do a post-credits scene and you go, 'Oh, so everything I said in interviews is completely wrong.' So you never know!"
The jury is still out on a Sif appearance in "Avengers," but the Asgardian warrior is much likelier to have a prominent role in "Thor 2." Whether she's officially in it or not, Alexander is already very excited about the director who was just hired for the film.
"We just got Alan Taylor from 'Game of Thrones' to direct, so I'm very excited. I'm excited to see what he brings," she said. "['Game of Thrones'] is great. The style and the lighting and the tone of it, everything about it is so unlike anything you see on TV these days."
"He's got a great history of directing comedic bits and action bits, and that's something our movie definitely has," she added.
