Freema Agyeman has said that she would love to return to Doctor Who for the show's 50th anniversary in 2013.

The actress, who exited Doctor Who as a full-time companion in 2007, revealed that she's excited about the prospect of reprising her role of Martha Jones to celebrate the show's past.

"I've just heard rumblings and my agent was talking about it because there's a tight-knit of us," she told The Independent. "In terms of working with David [Tennant] and with Karen [Gillan], we've all got the same sort of circle really, so a mention of things but nothing's really been in set in stone."

Agyeman added: "If they want to do a big group thing, I can't really envisage anybody in the Who family saying no because it's quite a marked occasion and a good opportunity to rekindle. For the fans, it's exciting for them as well and everyone gets together."

Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat has already promised that he has huge plans for the anniversary, while Matt Smith has suggested that a 3D special might be the best way to mark the occasion.

Several of the former Time Lords have also commented on the likelihood that they'd return to Doctor Who.

Peter Davison said he would enjoy playing the Fifth Doctor again, but doesn't expect to be asked back.

Christopher Eccleston has ruled out a return to Doctor Who, but David Tennant has suggested that he would guest star in the series under the right circumstances.

John Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who, has strongly campaigned to appear in the series once again.

This week, Harry Potter director David Yates and BBC Worldwide's Jane Tranter have begun working on a Doctor Who movie.

Doctor Who returns with a festive special which is expected to air on Christmas Day on BBC One in the UK and BBC America in the US.

Interesting that there's a fucking retarded movie going through development hell just in time for the 50th anniversary and possible cancellation thereafter. All about transatlanticification of British culture to pimp it to the Americans- despite their new status as penniless hasbeens led by an empty suit.
