Opposition says MP Bernard Finnigan’s parliamentary contribution ‘inadequate’ since being charged with child pornography offences

The South Australian Opposition says the contribution of Independent MP Bernard Finnigan in State Parliament has been inadequate since he was charged with child pornography offences.
The Opposition says 1,000 days have now passed since Finnigan was arrested and resigned as a Government minister.
Shadow Attorney-General Stephen Wade says records show Finnigan has made just two speeches in Parliament since then and has asked no questions nor moved any private member’s motions.
He says Finnigan has been entitled to almost $1 million in salary, superannuation, staffing and other entitlements and has a duty to do his job.
“Mr Finnigan is entitled to stay on the job but he should do the job,” he said.
“I suppose an analogy here is that of Mr Thompson in the Federal Parliament, Mr Thompson was in the Federal Parliament all last year after criminal charges had been laid he made numerous parliamentary contributions.”
Finnigan has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting a ruling as to whether his charges will be stayed.

His lawyer is on leave.

Mr Finnigan is a member of the Legislative Council and his term will expire in 2018.

Psalm 109

The Psalms
109

A Cry for Vengeance
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1  Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
2  for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me:

they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3  They compassed me about also with words of hatred;

and fought against me without a cause.
4  For my love they are my adversaries:

but I give myself unto prayer.
5  And they have rewarded me evil for good,

and hatred for my love.
6  Set thou a wicked man over him:

and let Satan stand at his right hand.
7  When he shall be judged, let him be condemned:

and let his prayer become sin.
8  Let his days be few;

and let another take his office. Acts 1.20
9  Let his children be fatherless,

and his wife a widow.
10  Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg:

let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
11  Let the extortioner catch all that he hath;

and let the strangers spoil his labor.
12  Let there be none to extend mercy unto him:

neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.
13  Let his posterity be cut off;

and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14  Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD;

and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15  Let them be before the LORD continually,

that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16  Because that he remembered not to show mercy,

but persecuted the poor and needy man,
that he might even slay the broken in heart.
17  As he loved cursing,

so let it come unto him:
as he delighted not in blessing,
so let it be far from him.
18  As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment,

so let it come into his bowels like water,
and like oil into his bones.
19  Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him,

and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
20  Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD,

and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21  But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake:

because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22  For I am poor and needy,

and my heart is wounded within me.
23  I am gone like the shadow when it declineth:

I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24  My knees are weak through fasting;

and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25  I became also a reproach unto them:

when they looked upon me they shook their heads. Mt. 27.39 · Mk. 15.29
26  Help me, O LORD my God:

O save me according to thy mercy:
27  that they may know that this is thy hand;

that thou, LORD, hast done it.
28  Let them curse, but bless thou:

when they arise, let them be ashamed;
but let thy servant rejoice.
29  Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame;

and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
30  I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth;

yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
31  For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor,

to save him from those that condemn his soul.

WHEN SOCIAL MEDIA IS A SOCIAL DISEASE - The Pickering Post

WHEN SOCIAL MEDIA IS A SOCIAL DISEASE - The Pickering Post

In the wake of an outrageous attempt to gag the Press, McTernan has arranged through the PM’s office to close Twitter accounts critical of Gillard and censor messages. This was achieved with the cooperation of Twitter’s roving publicist, Mike Brown.

Hundreds of complaints have been made to Twitter about messages being deleted and in some circumstances altered to appear as pro-Gillard Tweets.

Whether serious money changed hands or not cannot be established but why, immediately after a visit from McTernan, did a grubby little Yank going by the name of Mike Brown, start censoring Tweets?
Tweets critical of Abbott have remained untouched. Among those emanating from the PM’s office are particularly offensive such as from the account of AshGhebranious: “They will send Abbott’s daughters to Indonesia to have sex with Ministers till they allow coalition to tow back boats.” That tweet remains.

Another from the same account: “You planning to murder any refugees today? Putting it live stream for your fans” #730# Auspol @MathiasCorman.

There are too many instances to itemise, but these filthy messages remain uncensored while those critical of Gillard instantly disappear.

There have been many posts of incriminating material, regarding Gillard’s involvement in the AWU fraud, simply disappearing from my Facebook page.

No explanation and no reply from Facebook. If I repost I am immediately banned.
I understand that the strapon could be seen as offensive, but not a copy of a fraudulent application form in Gillard’s handwriting.

Thus the website The Pickering Post was born yet that website has also suffered continual hacking and DoS attacks rendering it unusable for days at a time until we can invent ways to stop them.
A female in the PM’s Office by the name of Tadlette and using the account name of “Apparatchik Tads”, appears to be the driving force behind this gutter level of Twitter bastardry.

Tadlette tweeted “Hi @TwitterAU the right wing trolls are posting personal info inciting harassment IRL... please monitor @anonOz1 bit.ly/YJMj8q

Gillard and McTernan’s stated determination to emulate Obama’s re-election using social media techniques is starting to take shape.

There will be much more to come and the PM’s coffers are overflowing with hard union cash.

Right faction of ALP split over Bill Shorten | Herald Sun

Silky smooth political skills there, champ.

An exclusive Galaxy poll, published today by Perth's Sunday Times, puts support for the Labor Party in WA ahead of the state election at just 35 per cent.

Strategists have issued a "keep out" edict to Ms Gillard and her ministers in the lead-up to the March 9 election.
Ms Gillard has agreed to the request.

 BILL Shorten's refusal to tap Julia Gillard to stand down as Prime Minister could have implications for his own leadership ambitions, Rudd backers have warned.

While the Left faction is quietly backing Greg Combet to replace the PM if she loses the September election, the Right is split over Mr Shorten.

"Why would we reward Shorten?" a Labor MP said.
BECAUSE BILL LUDWIG TOLD YOU TO?

"We are about to lose a generation of talent.
IF BY TALENT YOU MEAN PERVERTS AND CROOKS.

"We will support Combet as leader down the track if we think he's got what it takes. POWER AT ALL COSTS.

"He's doing a really good job with the business community. His office is one of the best around." BULL-SHIT.

And now, a brief word to the voters who don't think, don't feel and who enjoy hypnotism over freedom.

1. the media are not your friend.

2. the media exist to lie to you, control you and your children, and ultimately, keep you peacefully asleep until you are destroyed.

3. politics is not football. There are not two equal teams, one red one blue, with equal goals and equal outcomes.

4. red team, communism, is a front for a sinister elite of gangsters, sexual perverts and thieves. Red team, the ALP and Greens in Australia, are a miscegenation born of foreigners who taught their descendants no loyalty to Australia, immigrants of more recent origin who wish to wage genocide on both Aboriginal and white Australians, and ideological enemies of civilisation itself.

5. voting for scum like that is not zany, cool, an act of free will or a bleeding heart liberal guilt trip assuaging way to fight the power. The scum you vote in ARE the power, you poor deluded idiots.

Blog: Obama Has to Fib Even at a Funeral

Blog: Obama Has to Fib Even at a Funeral

Yes, everything is about Barack Obama.  From the beginning, he has built his career on his own personal story, and the funeral service of former Hawaiian Senator Daniel Inouye at the National Cathedral on Friday apparently struck him as an opportune time to remind the world what that story was.  In his 1,600-word oration, Obama even managed to work in the fact, as though someone in the universe might not have heard, that he had "a white mom [and] a black father" "and was raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

The problem, however, is not just that Obama used the word "my" 21 times, "me" 12 times, and "I" 30 times in the course of telling his story, but rather that even at a funeral, he could not keep the story straight.

Obama's oration dealt to a large degree with how he came to understand what a U.S. senator is.  "Now, even though my mother and grandparents took great pride that they had voted for him," said Barack Obama of Inouye, "I confess that I wasn't paying much attention to the United States Senate at the age of four or five or six.  It wasn't until I was 11 years old that I recall even learning what a U.S. senator was, or it registering, at least.  It was during my summer vacation with my family -- my first trip to what those of us in Hawaii call the Mainland."

The story of the trip set up the punch line.  He told Inouye's mourners that "my mother that summer would turn on the TV every night during this vacation and watch the Watergate hearings," and he was forced to watch, too.  Of course, the senator who "fascinated" him most was "this man of Japanese descent with one arm, speaking in this courtly baritone, full of dignity and grace."

This story would work only if Obama had toured the United States during the summer of the Watergate hearings, 1973, when he was eleven years old going on twelve, but in his memoir Dreams from My Father, he tells another story -- a much more specific one.  Yes, he made the same trip, but he did so "during the summer after my father's visit to Hawaii, before my eleventh birthday."  This would have been 1972, when Watergate was still a third-rate burglary that had gotten little media traction.

In Dreams, Obama mentioned a Kansas City stop along the way, and Madelyn's youngest brother in suburban KC would later provide photographic evidence of the same.  He confirmed the year as 1972.  This disparity did not stop Obama from relating in Dreams how in that elusive summer he "watched the Watergate hearings every night before going to bed."  There was no mention of Senator Inouye.  He was apparently trying to make some other point.

This is hardly the most egregious concoction in the Obama canon.  Pulitzer Prize-winner David Maraniss condemned his 2012 biography, Barack Obama, the Story, to the clearance racks by daring to suggest that Dreams was full of concoctions, some more critical than others.  Obama fans wanted to hear no such thing.

Kudos to Ben Smith for daring to chronicle the obvious.  "I counted 38 instances in which [Maraniss] convincingly disputes significant elements of Obama's own story of his life and his family history," wrote Smith in Buzzfeed, and even Maraniss was pulling his punches.

Post-re-election, reporters allow Obama to spin with impunity.  They no longer seem worried that someone of the right will scoop them.  They are confident that their media pals would ignore the scoop as well.  They know that as long as they control the headlines, there can be no new Watergate -- and Obama is beginning to sense it, too.

AWU scandal: second file on Gillard’s correspondence turns up empty | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

Gangsters.

If only we didn't have a self-marinating paper shredder marxist as governor general.

***

First Slater & Gordon couldn’t find the file that would tell us if Julia Gillard misled corporate affairs officials about her boyfriend’s slush fund:

Former Slater & Gordon senior partner Peter Gordon has also defended the management of the law firm after it confirmed on Tuesday that an unofficial file compiled by Ms Gillard and detailing the work she had done had disappeared.

Now another file is mysteriously missing its documents, too:

PUBLIC documents that were essential in the fraudulent operation of a union slush fund that Julia Gillard helped to establish 20 years ago are missing from the official file in Western Australia.
The file, numbered 000 748 and titled “Australian Workers Union—Workplace Reform Association Inc”, is held in archives by the State Records Office in Perth.

The file should contain key documents from 1992 when the association, which Ms Gillard described as a “slush fund” for union officials including her then boyfriend, AWU boss Bruce Wilson, was registered by the WA government.

The association’s constitution described it as being dedicated to workplace safety, and omits any mention of it being designed to fund union elections as stated by Ms Gillard. But the government archivist who retrieved the file for The Australian yesterday expressed surprise the file folder no longer held any documents.

He said it was “highly unusual”. It was unclear whether documents were removed before or after the file was transferred from the relevant government department. The documents would show what the WA government was told before it agreed to register the association....

Harry Nowicki, a Melbourne lawyer who is researching AWU history and Ms Gillard’s role in the slush fund, said yesterday it was “very troubling that two files about the same fraud have disappeared—one from Slater & Gordon, and now the other from a State’s official archives"…

"Prime Minister, at the time you were handed Ralph Blewitt's pre-signed power of attorney, your lover Wilson was a married man with children and in the process of leaving his family in order to take up residence in Melbourne, where for several years he shared his life with you. Would it be fair to say that one obvious advantage of listing Blewitt as Kerr Street's buyer of record was that it shielded Wilson's wealth from his soon-to-be ex-wife and her divorce lawyers?"

Bunyipitude: Divorce, Kerr Street-Style

MICHAEL SMITH has a new swag of documents relating to Julia Gillard, Bruce Wilson, the purchase of 1/85 Kerr Street, Fitzroy, and the beard Ralph Blewitt. They make for interesting reading and further the impression that the nation's leader is either very dim or very bent. With Mark Baker's latest article on the matter published today in The Age -- yes, The Age, so you know this is getting serious -- we can all assume the Prime Minister will need to summon a few sympathetic, ill-informed hacks and clarify her former youth and naivety all over again. That performance will be very interesting, no doubt, but not entirely so satisfying as might be if one of the quality journalists neglects to put the following question.

Given Gillard's high-decibel assault this week on the patriarchy and her stridency in demanding that women be given a fair shake, a follow-up question would be in order:
"Does your sympathy for women extend to humble housewives cheated of their marital assets by the legal deceptions of philandering husbands' and their new girlfriends?"

Politics - IS OUR PRIME MINISTER A CROOK? Part V - The Pickering Post

"The focus is now back on Slater & Gordon. Although a listed company they still refuse to come clean on what went on. Why was their client, the AWU, not alerted to the false accounts? Why was the AWU not told of the funds, the laundering, the house, the conveyancing, the mortgage, the profit from the sale of the house?

They refuse to release the conveyancing details of the Kerr Street property claiming privilege. Yet there is no privilege associated with conveyancing."

 Kangaroo Court of Australia has dropped the ball on this, and badly. That leaves Pickering, a cartoonist de jure, as the sole journalist in Australia reporting this most serious matter.

Tony Abbott: Real Life Superhero

I was sent this via e-mail and decided to share it here for everyones information, including the gullible dopes who support the abortion of a government we now have.....................
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overheard last week: “It’s such a shame there isn’t someone other than Tony Abbott as alternative Prime Minister. We think the Gillard government is bad for the country, but it would be better if we had another Opposition leader to vote for.”

It caused me to ask why that view might exist given Abbott’s background, and I wondered if it might be that people do not know his history. So, I have put together some information which might help get a better understanding of the man.

Abbott graduated from the University of Sydney with degrees in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Economics (BEc). Then he became a Rhodes Scholar at Queens College Oxford UK in Politics and Philosophy. He also won a boxing blue at Oxford. He married Margaret in 1987 and has three daughters. He is a member of the congregation of the Catholic Church.

He was involved in student politics, but beyond that, biographer Michael Duffy, wrote that during his student days he “........saved a child who was swept out to sea. Another time, he helped save children from a burning house next to a pub where he was drinking. On each occasion he disappeared before he could be properly thanked”.

He is a member of Manly’s Queenscliffe SLSC, and a member of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, both of which he joined before it was politically expedient to do so. He spent several weeks teaching in remote Aboriginal settlements in Cape York in an effort ‘to familiarise himself with indigenous issues’.

If you are wondering where some of the negativity attributed to Tony Abbott comes from, go on to the Net and have a look at the comments which followed, 2 years ago, when he was asked by the Women’s Weekly

“What advice would you give your three daughters on sex before marriage?”

He told the magazine:
‘’I would say to my daughters, if they were to ask me this question …it is the greatest gift you can give someone, the ultimate gift of giving and don’t give it up to someone lightly.”
Yet, if you were to read many of the comments on the internet and the print media at the time, you could be forgiven for thinking he was attempting to impose his will on all females in Australia, had ranted against women, had argued for Muslim like chastity, and so on................... see for yourself - Google it! Gillard’s response was to accuse Abbott of “lecturing women”???

I have also included a video of Abbott where he commented on, in what seems to me to be quite a balanced fashion, “climate change” yet the title of the video suggests he has been extreme in “denying climate change and advocating carbon tax”. See what you think. http://youtu.be/oPpQisoZqx4 Then have a look at the longer interview from which this original exerpt was taken http://youtu.be/ZoCKhNr8Atk.

Abbott has had a history of being told by ‘ABC types’ that he lacks compassion, does not understand homosexuality or homosexuals, avoids situations where he might need to face up to gay relationships, and so on. Again, because he was not prepared to reveal personal issues of others (ethics, principles,?), he did not speak about his own sister’s gay relationship and the part he played in supporting her. It would have been an easy defence for him, but in line with his principles and values, he chose not to use it.

Granted, he is not a super smooth, off the cuff, speaker, and does not fit the orator mould. But when he is compared to the glib tongues and untrustworthiness of Gillard, Rudd, Swan, etc, it is not difficult to determine which attributes are more important for the leadership of Australia.
After Abbott completed his studies, he became a journalist for The Bulletin and also the Australian. For a time he was plant manager for Pioneer Concrete, then became press secretary for the then Opposition Leader, Dr John Hewson. He was elected to Parliament in 1994 at a bi-election. He has held various Ministerial posts and his actions in those roles are a matter of public record . His work ethic is unquestioned.

He was dismayed at the policies of former leader Malcolm Turbull relating to ETS, and following widespread disaffection with Turnbull’s stance among Liberal Party members, threw his hat into the ring, as did Joe Hockey, for leadership of the Liberal Party. Abbott was successful. At the time, the polls were running strongly against the Liberal Party (in the 40% approval range), while Kevin Rudd enjoyed figures around 60%. Within a short space of time, with Abbott as leader, those figures changed to such a degree that Rudd was replaced in the now infamous “faceless men” coup which installed Gillard. Since that time, Abbott has maintained constant focus on the ever widening circle of disasters associated with the Gillard government to the stage where support for that government now hovers around the 30% mark.

Whilst I do not know Abbott personally, he strikes me as a person of integrity, he has values in which I too believe, and ethics based on his Christian beliefs. I would much rather place my trust in someone who, in his actions, has shown he is what he says, rather than someone who will say anything to gain a prospective advantage for themselves.

Blog: Obama goes Nixon, claims executive privilege on F&F

 "The assertion of executive privilege raises monumental questions," Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley said in a statement released Wednesday shortly after the president's move. "How can the President assert executive privilege if there was no White House involvement? How can the President exert executive privilege over documents he's supposedly never seen? Is something very big being hidden to go to this extreme? The contempt citation is an important procedural mechanism in our system of checks and balances. The questions from Congress go to determining what happened in a disastrous government program for accountability and so that it's never repeated again."

Grassley is the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee and has previously called a Justice Department investigation into the "Fast and Furious" gunrunning operation "botched."
