Slag released from third world jail, parasite media class goes apeshit.

Catallaxy Files | To educate, entertain, and inform.

Am I the only person who doesn’t give a tinker’s cuss about Schapelle Corby?  What is all the fuss and bother about?

She came from a druggy family, her father and brother have been in jail, she got caught … so what?

Were it not for the fact that she is much more attractive than your
average prison inmate, I’m not sure anyone would care.  There have been
other Australians released from foreign jails after a period of
incarceration and no one gives a toss and there is no throng of media.

It seems that the ABC’s George Roberts of ‘burnt hands of asylum
seekers fame’ was too busy to do the reporting, because there was some
other ABC person outside the Bali jail.  Maybe George is chasing one of
those towed back tenders, which according to the ABC, could never be
done.

Arts graduate climate "expert" on the chopping block: Abbott forecasts Flannery job loss | thetelegraph.com.au

Abbott forecasts Flannery job loss | thetelegraph.com.au

FEDERAL Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has forecast a job loss for chief climate commissioner Tim Flannery if the coalition wins power at the next election.

And he says climate change and carbon tax bureaucracies set up by the Labor government would also go under a coalition government when it abolishes the carbon tax.

When asked on Macquarie Radio on Wednesday if Professor Flannery would be "consigned to the wastepaper basket of bureaucracy", Mr Abbott said he thought there were four climate and carbon tax bureaucracies in place.

"When the carbon tax goes, all of those bureaucracies will go and I suspect we might find that the particular position you refer to goes with them," he told broadcaster Ray Hadley.
"It does sound like an unnecessary position given that the gentleman in question gives us the benefit of his views without needing taxpayer funding," Mr Abbott said.

Culture jam on toast: When art serves tyranny rather than opposing it

The Artist Formerly Known as Dissident - Reason.com

Throughout modern history, art typically enters politics on a mass scale in two fashions: first, as a check on power; second, as a tool used by those in power. Freedom of the Press comes into play in both cases, but in very different ways. In the first case, it protects political commentary by artists. This freedom is not a garnish. It is a necessary weapon, enshrined in the Constitution for the purpose of countering contradictions, hypocrisies, and distortions made by politicians and others in power. Yet the art community has responded to the Obama administration's contradictions, hypocrisies, and distortions with near total silence.

***

Good article, but the writer seems baffled unduly by how and why edgy street art types jumped on board the Obama bus early often and with great passion.

They joined the Obama mythmaking for very simple reasons. Venal self interest, ideological sameness and hatred of white culture. And for that matter, hatred of white people.

When you only make your art if someone is paying you, especially preferably through government grants, then it's the golden rule, isn't it?

Superior Spider-Man remains as Doc Octopus in Spider-Man's body. Other than as wish fulfillment for the current morbidly obese writers of this shit, what is the fucking point? X-men Supreme: Amazing Spider-Man #700 and UN-Amazing Spoilers

X-men Supreme: Amazing Spider-Man #700 and UN-Amazing Spoilers

Amazing Spider-Man #700 and UN-Amazing Spoilers
I did it once and I pissed a few people off in the process. So I'm doing it again because I'm a drunk and I stop giving a shit after a certain number of shots! I'm going to spoil another landmark issue of Amazing Spider-Man that has Marvel has been billing as the biggest Spider-Man milestone since Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's last simultaneous fart together. Amazing Spider-Man #700 isn't just billed as this huge milestone for a comic. It's supposed to set the stage for a big relaunch called Superior Spider-Man. I'm not sure how he's supposed to be superior. Early indications seem to imply that he's meaner, tougher, and more of an overall asshole. Shit, if that's superior, then my high school gym teacher was practically a god. But it's still speculation at this point.

For now, we know that Doctor Octopus swapped minds with Peter Parker. So for a while now Doc Ock has been parading around in Peter's body, playing the part of a hero, and boning all his women. It's basically the ultimate "fuck you" from a villain. Peter, now stuck in Doc Ock's body, is trying to fight back by getting his body back before Doc Ock fucks his reputation, ruins his relationships, or gets him one too many STDs. Amazing Spider-Man #700 is supposed to show how it all ends. Well until now, we could only speculate. Then the fine folks at 4chan leaked images online and since I'm such a generous guy, I'm going to share them here on this blog! First off, a clear warning. If you scroll down further, you will see some very spoilerific images!

I know the image quality is pretty shitty. It's the best I can do. But if it helps, here are a few more images that break down the final pages.

Hint, that's not Doc Ock that's lying dead in the street...not entirely anyways.

This confirms one rumor, namely about Spider-Man being more of an asshole. It's like giving my old gym teacher super-powers. No good can come of it.

Just some casual boasting to end it all. It's the kind of boasting that is not the mark of a hero or anyone who preaches shit like power and responsibility, but I guess Marvel just thinks that shit isn't cool.

So there you have it. This is the new Superior Spider-Man. I'm not going to go too deep into my opinions while I'm this drunk, but I will make one important note to those hardcore Spider-Man fans that I know will be outraged. This is EXACTLY what Marvel wants. They figured out back during One More Day, Ultimatum, Avengers vs. X-men, Disassembled, and the Clone Saga that no matter how outraged fans get, they still buy their shit. I'm not sure they understand it. I don't think they give three tenths of a shit anyways. But for some reason, outraged fans still buy their shit. Marvel doesn't fear pissing off their fans anymore. They only fear their fans getting apathetic. That's the biggest weapon against comics. Apathy. The day fans become apathetic is the day Marvel knows they made a huge mistake. And because of outrage, this book will sell and they won't care how pissed off the people buying it are. So from one fanboy to many others, we've no one to blame but ourselves for this shit. It's not Marvel. It's us. We're terrible. I'm an adult. I know how to deal with it. And when I can't, I drink. It's a perfect solution! Nuff said.

When socialists attack

Here Is Lena Dunham's $3.7 Million Book Proposal [UPDATE]
Source: GAWKER

Dunham, a 26-year-old described by Random House as "a rare literary talent," proposed to structure the book as an advice tome in the tradition of Helen Gurley Brown's Having It All. To judge by the proposal—which has been described elsewhere but is published here for the first time—it's more of an invitation to get lost in the mind of a girl who is lost in her own mind. It's basically literary lifecasting: Fully 13% of the proposal's pages are devoted to reproducing a diary Dunham kept of what she ate in 2010. And she intends to devote an as-yet-unwritten chapter to "a collection of emails that screw the pooch, jump the gun, and terrify men." Also, Dunham thinks she has the "beginnings of a FUPA (fat upper pussy area)" and wants to write about that, in her book of advice for women.

Julia Allison eat your heart out.

Here are some sentences you will find in it:
I went to my first Women's Action Coalition meeting at age three.
Update: Lena Dunham's personal litigation counsel Charles Harder has contacted Gawker to relay a demand from his client, Lena Dunham, that we remove the above quote from our web site. In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence is indicative of a nauseating and cloying posture of precociousness that permeates the entire proposal.

In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence is revelatory of Dunham's character in that it provides evidence that she has been examining her own thoughts and desires analytically from an absurdly young age. It is also indicative of a nauseating and cloying precociousness that permeates the entire proposal.
When I was about nine I developed a terrible fear of being anorexic.

In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence is indicative of Dunham's self-dramatizing narcissism inasmuch as it presents what is obviously a desire for an attention-grabbing condition as a fear of developing said condition. It is also indicative of a nauseating and cloying precociousness that permeates the entire proposal.
When I was about nine I wrote a vow of celibacy.... I knew my mother had waited until the summer after she graduated [high school].

It also demonstrates that she periodically deploys such validation as suits her needs.
Once at poetry camp I saw my friend Joana in a bikini.....

In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence demonstrates, by way of a blithe and effortless reference to her mother's domestic service-provider, that Dunham exists in a navel-gazing bubble of privilege where one's mother simply has a nutritionist.
Every ice pop I ate, every movie I watched, every poem I wrote was tinged with a fearful loss.

In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence demonstrates that Dunham and her friends cruelly mocked a young girl struggling with her weight.
I've never kept a diary, [because] if a girl writes in her diary and no one's there to read it did she really write at all?

In order to clarify our intent in quoting the above matter from Dunham's proposal, we have decided to append the following commentary: The quoted sentence demonstrates that Dunham is incapable of conceiving a rationale for writing that doesn't serve the goal of drawing attention to herself.

Update: Following the intervention of Harder, we have removed the proposal.

For the umpteenth time since 1948, one of these princess-esque Jewish bigmouths, in this case Lena Dunham, come crawling out of their privileged rat nest and use daddy's money and mummy's friends to parlay a career in the softbrain media. And it's always the fucking same: denigrating television, opinionated twaddle and endless solipsistic circle jerking. Good to see socialists start to eat their own for once, although the general jewish-marxist malaise and its counterpart neo-con ie jewish conservative pablum are equally to blame for discourse being hijacked by a minority and pissed up a wall.

Elmo Voice Kevin Clash Denies Sex w/ Underage Boy -- Takes Leave of Absence from Sesame Street | TMZ.com

EXCLUSIVE
Elmo Voice Actor Kevin Clash
Kevin Clash -- the man known as the voice of Elmo -- has taken a leave of absence from Sesame Street in the wake of allegations he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy, TMZ has learned ... allegations Clash adamantly denies.

We've learned ... Sesame Workshop lawyers recently met with a 23-year-old man who claims he and Clash began a sexual relationship 7 years ago ... when he was 16 and Clash was 45.

Clash has acknowledged to TMZ he had a relationship with the young man -- but insists it only took place AFTER the accuser was an adult.

Sesame Workshop honchos tell TMZ ... "In June of this year, Sesame Workshop received a communication from a young man who alleged that he had a relationship with Kevin Clash beginning when he was 16-years-old. This was a personal relationship, unrelated to the workplace. We took the allegation very seriously and took immediate action."

Sesame Workshop officials acknowledge to TMZ they met with the accuser twice and had a number of other communications with him.

Sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell TMZ ... after the accuser's initial meeting with Sesame Street, the accuser felt Sesame Workshop's lawyers were trying to muzzle him ... so he lawyered up with Andreozzi and Associates -- the firm that represented one of the victims in the Jerry Sandusky child rape case.

On August 15, 2012 ... Andreozzi fired off a letter to Sesame, accusing the company of trying to "discredit the victim in order to protect its employee and the image of one of its most valuable characters," adding, "This approach places a greater value on a puppet than the well being of a young man."

The big mistake that Michael Smith, many online Republicans and other honest crusaders make: People aren't waiting for the truth. Most people are media-conditioned morons who are just waiting for a trigger event so they can act our what the media has put into their heads.

It's not well known, because at this point most people consider being "educated" as being equivalent to absorbing the part of the media that pretends not to be fictional. Invisible chains on fool slaves who think they are free.

Marketing is not innocent. It isn't some news worthy but fundamentally silly and lightweight effort that companies indulge in to sell tampons.

Marketing is MIND CONTROL.

And MIND CONTROL is how populations in the last few free countries- which have always been the real free countries- are being sold out and sold down the river.

Enslavement by the media is called the Engineering of Consent. And it always works. It's a disease, that once caught is almost impossible to eradicate - mainly because it pretends to find itself and offers quack cures to its own evil.

Gillard regime fuckwittery such as the "war on women" attacks on Abbott are utterly baseless and false. But they work. Because people have had their critical thinking disabled through media bombardment and their own laziness.

The same in the USA with Barry Davis aka Obama. People are not escaping from the fog in their minds when they reject Obama and turn to an effeminate candidate like Mitt Romney. They are failing to understand that blue M&Ms and red M&Ms come out the same colour when you swallow them. No one is given the option of not eating M&Ms. And candidates that break the Hegelian pattern are prevented from running.

Yes, I support Tony Abbott. And Sarah Palin. I am not a Catholic, and I am not the same sort Christian as Sarah Palin. I am actually libertarian on many social issues. But both of these people are the right leaders for the times in their countries. I don't idolise them or think of them as perfected. That would be ridiculous.

But any candidate that both sides of politics are hostile to and that the media demonise are guaranteed honest.

And before your mind starts supplying you with all those things about these people that you think you know... Catch yourself. You know NOTHING. NOTHING. You are conditioned. You are hypnotised. You are a parrot in a cage.

Gawker.com: A Guide to Posing for Glamour Shots in the Aftermath of a Devastating Natural Disaster

Gawker.com: A Guide to Posing for Glamour Shots in the Aftermath of a Devastating Natural Disaster

A Guide to Posing for Glamour Shots in the Aftermath of a Devastating Natural Disaster

Nana Gouvêa is a modelactress-ish entity originally from Brazil who now resides with her husband in Manhattan. After Sandy devastated the city, Gouvêa and her husband ventured outdoors to document the destruction and to prove that there’s one thing killer storm surges can never wash away: raw sex appeal.

The resulting photoshoot quickly went viral, with many questioning the tastefulness of a disasterporn photospread. (Gouvêa also became a meme, as images of her posing were quickly Photoshopped against backdrops of other tragedies.)

Now, inspired by one woman’s admirable commitment to being photographed all the time, always, no matter what, we present:

The Gawker Guide to Posing for Glamour Shots in the Aftermath of a Natural Disaster
Tip 1: Destroyed Though It May Be, the World Is Your Prop

Walk around your neighborhood to find an image of gross devastation. Position yourself within it alluringly. Is that a dingy 1991 Honda Accord or a sleek Jaguar XKR with matte paint finish? Are those the downed limbs of uprooted trees, or pockets of lush greenery inside a tropical rain forest, over which you reign, as princess?

Tip 2: The City Needs a Sexy Hero. That Sexy Hero is You.

In the wake of a natural disaster, lots of people will be distraught. Maybe they’ve been without power for days, maybe they haven’t been able to check in with family members, maybe they even know someone who’s lost his or her life. What they need now is an image of hope, defiant in the face of tragedy. On September 11th, it was firefighters raising the flag above the rubble of the World Trade Center. Maybe now it’s you, striking a fierce diva pose in front of a Budget rental truck.
Bonus Tip: Swap your steely gaze for a pout and you look like the one responsible for the chaos and carnage. Did someone say “Bad Girl?”

Tip 3: Even Sexy Heroes Feel Vulnerable Sometimes

On the flip side: don’t be afraid to affect a look of vulnerability—this is known as “showing your human side.” If you have never experienced weakness, because you are Strong, Sexy, and Confident, feign it by grasping your limbs in different combinations. Left hand grabs right elbow. Right knee hooks left leg. Left arm hugs left thigh to chest. Don’t worry about the face – that can be rearranged in Photoshop.

Bonus Tip: If the scene is lacking in drama, stuff a garbage can with brightly colored paper and overturn it in the background

Tip 4: Sometimes the Best Photos Are Candid

Often, the most stirring images are of unstaged moments, captured by a skilled photographer named Serendipity. Of course, only a fool would leave their glamour shots to chance. Fake a candid photo by meticulously posing yourself “mid-stride” in front of an uprooted tree or flaming school.

Tip 5: The Bigger the Background Objects, the Smaller You Look

That’s just science.
Tip 6: Have Fun With It

The turmoil following a devastating natural disaster is a great opportunity to get out there and try poses, angles, and wardrobe choices you normally wouldn’t. This is a time for introspection and re-examining your personal style. Also a great time to stomp all over cars and things. Get out there and Do You.

Dhimmitude Comics and its awesome fantasy world.

Fanboy Buzz -  The City of Dearborn in Green Lantern #0 (Project Fanboy)

I know I am going to get pummeled for this. I know what I am about to do is going to be sacrilegious to the clan of Geoff Johns fans out there which I count myself among. However as a citizen of the town he portrayed in Green Lantern #0, there are very little truths regarding the city of Dearborn in there.

I’ve lived in this town outside of Detroit my entire life, and it was an interesting day on 9/11. On that day, Dearborn Muslims were cheering in the streets. Now, there were probably Muslims who found the actions of Al Qaeda horrific but the majority of the Muslim population in my city was cheering. Now, I found that major detail lacking from the comic which featured the new Green Lantern Simon Baz.

As a White Dearborn resident, I found Johns’ portrayal of us a bit offensive. While I’m sure there’s been racism shown towards them, I can honestly tell readers I have never experienced Muslims being treated that way nor have I participated in such foul behavior. I have some Muslim neighbors, and there have never been any quarrels between any of the other White families and them. I actually have seen our neighbors all get along together quite well, and continue to contribute to the neighborhood.
White Dearborners have actually been nothing but accepting of our Muslim neighbors. Dearborn Public Schools actually teach Arabic to students who are not as accessible in English. A recent federal mandate also has given Dearborn the ability to provide interpreters for Arabic students or parents who do not (or again have trouble speaking) English. I say that’s nothing but generous to the families in this city, and there are no benefits like that given to other racial groups in the city.

My main criticism of Johns was that in portraying a city he grew up near, I would’ve expected him to do more research. I mean he should’ve contacted other members of the community such as White and Black Americans in the city who have also been getting along peacefully. He went to the Arabic American National Museum for research on a city that’s a bit more complex than he realizes I think.

This is the city where Henry Ford grew up, and where it actually used to be quite a racist city (not from the citizens but from the political representation). Mayor Orville Hubbard would tell the city garbage men not to pick up the trash of African Americans who moved into the neighborhoods after the Civil Rights movement took place. However, once he was called by them, he said it was a mistake, and he immediately sent them back there to resolve the issue. That was political corruption and racism but it doesn’t happen anymore.

All races get along in Dearborn since I’ve grown up here. We have never had any racial problems like the major city Detroit has.  If you ever come back to Dearborn Mr. Johns, please do your homework. I think we would all benefit from that…..

Charles Fort's legacy stolen, perverted and destroyed.

How did joyless shitpail cheapjack debunker fuckwits end up "owning" the Charles Fort legacy? Who let that happen?

The original term from 1946 through the late 1960s for what is now called "ufology" was actually "Fortean"- for example official American military documents from the 1950s talk about the need to silence Forteans and stop them from spreading the truth about UFOs (amongst other things).

So it is no accident that Forteana has been hijacked by the typical close minded, not very intelligent big mouthed fuckwits who spoil pretty much every modern pursuit for knowledge. These classic products of the modern social collapse and tenth rate education processes have turned Charles Fort and his legacy into just another dead end of clueless and creditless debunking of genuine mysteries, with the usual awful tone of- not skepticism, which is valuable- but rather debunking, which has been accurately described as a kind of immature schoolyard bully type psychological defect.

Charles Fort and his legacy needs to be totally revitalised, not left in the paws of these utterly irredeemable assclowns. He was once known and honoured for his outside-the-box thinking, and although his prose is purple to the point of incomprehensibility at times, his central tenet- that we cannot be certain of ANYTHING, and that ALL categories are arbitrary, contains a lot of common sense.

We need to fight to take back Forteana.

An undistinguished comicbook adaptation of Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? was produced. It has many problems, the main one, central to its failure is simple.

In the irregular light the bounty hunter seemed a  medium man, not impressive. Round face and hairless, smooth features; like a clerk in a bureaucratic office.  Methodical but informal. Not demi-god in shape; not at all as Isidore had anticipated him.

Above is a quote from the actual book.

Illiterate people shouldn't adapt books. Illiterate people should learn to read.

Comicbook stereotyping has rarely been as effusively offensive as the act of making the characters in Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? heroic idealised superhero style figures. It isn't a superhero story, in any remote way. And even a casual, let alone detailed, reading of the book would impart sufficient information to do the comicbook properly.

That simple process completely eluded the producers of that comicbook.

It was doomed ab initio. StumbleUpon
