Freerunner

Homeworld:
Earth-FT1

Family:
Uncle - Mayhew
Mother and Father - deceased
Aunt - deceased

Background:
Pietro Kark is a gifted science teacher and part-time mountaineer. He was raised in Vietnam at the end of the Viet Nam war, at which time his parents were killed during the fall of Saigon. He grew up tough and became a traceur, a skill set he now uses to fight crime and stand up to illegitimate authority as the vigilante-activist Freerunner.

Known Power and Abilities:

Acrobatics and Gymnastics
Freerunner is superbly fit, extremely agile and frequently seems to demonstrate a kind of preternatural luck or danger sense that helps him avoid serious injury.

Physical Training and Fighting Ability
Freerunner is of Olympic level of fitness and is a devastating martial arts-trained hand to hand combatant. He favours backflips, kicks, leaping kicks and throws but when fighting hand to hand and if forced to he will rely on exploding punch, jiu-jitsu strike and kaisho techniques.

Note
This character was created in 2009, well before the recent Bat-debacle was released. StumbleUpon

Golden & Eternium: The Eternium Universe

Way back in 2003, I began developing a d20 compatible universe based on my own original writings from 1983 up to what was then the present day (2003). Essentially it was a comicbook style universe where pulp heroes like the Shadow and Doc Savage coexisted with iconic character types from later decades.

In essence it was similar to the Wold-Newton Universe, only without the same tiresomely repetitive attempts to make EVERYONE related- I allowed for several bloodlines at least.

I also wanted to cater to the darkening of the light that comics experienced and continue to experience.

Thus there came the RPG books GOLDEN, ETERNIUM, ZOMBIENOMICON and ZOMBIENOMICON II: GORDIAN WORLD. There were other tie-in books too- A Vintage From Atlantis was the first d20 piracy rulebook and sourcebook standalone, Monkey On Your Back catered to my personal taste for Planet of the Apes type adventures, and Red Drums was a very dark parallel world universe where the 1980s had Gerry Anderson style technology- and Martian animated zombies.

All in all it was quite successful, particularly judged from the standards of the amount of my material which was plagiarised- always the sincerest form of imitation.

Be that as it may, the lines were always there ready to be followed back into actual comicbook publishing and despite a few abortive starts that is what is finally occurring now. Of course the universes being published are very different again- but that's probably a good thing. :)

If we still have copies anywhere I will put up the timelines etc. from the game books. StumbleUpon

James Tinthu "JT" Neslo

Homeworld:
Earth-FT1

Family:
Father - Herge Andre Neslo;
Mother - Lucille Neslo nee Sullivan

Background:
Due to an as yet unexplained phenomenon JT Neslo has developed the ability to remember over 75 years of past history, by virtue of his apparent immortality- he has remained a teenager throughout that time and apparently those around him do not remember events that he seems to remember. He is thus apparently trapped within cycles of time where broadly similar events repeat endlessly to form a localised spacetime continuum or "continuity".

Known Power and Abilities:

Contacts

JT Neslo has over seventy years worth of contacts in several areas including mystical champions, teenage heroes, pop culture icons (of varying eras) and talking animals.

Physical Training and Fighting Ability
JT Neslo has spent the equivalent of forty nonconsecutive years in varsity level athletic training including wrestling, boxing, gymnastics, swimming and track & field. He is a highly capable western-style brawler, possesses a professional boxer's equivalent knockout punch and is highly resilient in terms of physical injury.

Spatio-Temporal Immunity
JT Neslo periodically undergoes a "continuity reset", an event where his local universe and its history resets itself. He retains all memories of previous histories as well as being sensitive to the changes to history the reset causes. As a side-effect of the resets, JT Neslo does not age. For all intents and purposes he is immortal. StumbleUpon
