Swamp Thing #3
This comic has NOTHING in common with the seminal Alan Moore run. Buy that instead and avoid this pus marbled fart of decadence like the plague. It's an awful, AWFUL comicbook. Everyone involved with it should be unemployed. Terrible.

The Incredible Hulk #2
Don't buy this comicbook. The art is awful and inconsistent, the story is nonexistent, and the paper thin premise obviously doomed ab initio.
Banner and The Hulk are separated (again) and neither is remotely interesting.
This is everything that is wrong with modern Marvel and neatly demonstrates how Marvel has become pre-Crisis (1986 proper Crisis) Marvel has become.
This comicbook is shit.

Review: The Rainbow Orchid
The Rainbow Orchid by Garen Ewing (UK) is a brilliant ligne claire comicbook series, also available online as a webcomic.
Ewing has very adeptly turned in a Tintin-style adventure. His art is a little restrained compared to Herge- who of course remains the grandmaster- so shall we say that the Rainbow Orchid sits between Blake & Mortimer and Tintin himself in terms of style.
The story is beautifully illustrated in every panel and the research behind it is suitably professional. The mysteries are gently offered, the action is brisk, and the characters well drawn. It is definitely a product of modern Great Britain, which could be bad but in this case- there is nothing "PC" to complain of.
The first two volumes out of a total of three are already available in print, and are well worth it!
The story is a great new addition for people suffering withdrawal symptoms having exhausted the Tintin canon.

IndyPlanet Comics Reviews: Spying With FLARE
Spying With Lana is an excellent cheesecake comicbook series with added bonus actual funny comedy and good stories. In this comic, Lana crosses over, so to speak, with Flare, one of the long-surviving CHAMPIONS comicbook characters, whose tortuous backstory is briefly summarised in the back.
Sean Harrington combines CG backgrounds with his own airbrush style art for the main subjects, making the book beautiful to look at.
Lana books come in a cleaner version or a version containing nudity. I actually prefer the nudie versions because the art is that bit freer and it fits the whole vibe of the book.
This one is recommended!
Written and Illustrated by Sean Harrington
Standard Comic
Full Color
Page Count: 32
Price: US$4.50

When an international crimelord kidnaps a scientist to build an invincible superweapon, it's up to Lana and Flare to stop him! But when one humorous mishap leads to another and another, will the sexy crimefighters be able to work together and put an end to his scheme before it's too late?
Lana. the sultry superspy of SPYING WITH LANA, and Flare, the sexy superheroine of Heroic Publishing's FLARE team up for the sexiest crossover ever!

IndyPlanet Comics Reviews: Amazing Golden Age Adventure Funnies #2
http://indyplanet.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=4685&osCsid=sgo40m25pg4uf73jf604jb67s7
Amazing Golden Age Adventure Funnies #2
[6243_56524]
Price: US$7.99
This comicbook is a well executed reprint of public domain Golden Age (1940s) comicbook stories. Some of them have appeared elsewhere, others have had their public domain characters glommed by publishers for use in their own pet projects.
Due to the good execution of the formatting and standardised color, this comic presents the original stories well, and allows them to be enjoyed by comic fans today.
Although 7.99 for 52 pages is not amazing value, it certainly compares with the reprint-plus "new" "story" crapola from DC and Marvel.
Even if you aren't a fan of Golden Age craziness (yet) this is a nice comicbook and good aeroplane reading, or alternatively a fun gift for a child who might want to continue reading comics after this taste of the bizarre good old days!
