Today's ballot changes nothing Today's Labor caucus ballot was an opportunity for a new start for the country. Instead nothing will change. Labor's deep divisions remain. Almost a third of Julia Gillard's caucus colleagues showed their lack of support for the Prime Minister and how she has been leading her government. As Tony Abbott pointed out today, nothing will change because: We will still have the carbon tax Families will still be faced with rising cost of living pressures We will still have a Prime Minister more focused on saving her job than protecting the jobs of Australian workers We will still have border protection chaos Only the Coalition can give Australia the stable and competent government that it needs. Only the Coalition can give the hope, reward and opportunity that Australians are yearning for. Only the Coalition has real plans to give us a stronger economy for a stronger country.
