Synthetic drug fentanyl causes overdose boom in Estonia
Everyone knows someone who has died. In the circles of Estonian friends who use "china white", death is a constant possibility.
They know that. But that does not mean they can stop."It's so addictive," says Marko, who has lost two friends to overdoses, and survived two himself.
In Estonia, the drug - whose proper name is fentanyl - is taking a heavy toll of young people. Nationally, drug overdoses now kill more people than road accidents.

As is pretty much universal in lapdog media reports, it's what is omitted that is significant.
In the case of fentanyl, it is the following datapoints:
1. fentanyl is a nerve gas used by Russian security forces. That is how it began life.
2. it is also a powerful anaesthetic.
3. fentanyl was pumped into aircraft after pressurisation to keep the passengers docile. There is no proof this activity has ever stopped.
