"As Sheriff of Pine County, it is important for residents to know my position as it relates to the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. In the past week I have had several requests and one meeting on this matter. Normally I attempt to remain neutral on matters of politics but this issue transcends political division and I feel it appropriate to state my position.
I believe that the right to keep and bear firearms is fundamental to our individual freedom and that firearms are a part of life in our county. The Federal Government has a constitutional role in the governance of our republic but the United States of America is a democratic republic of individual sovereign states. Each state has the absolute right to establish laws, within the confines of the constitution which is the supreme law of this republic, to regulate behavior.
As Sheriff, I swore an oath to follow the Constitution of the United States and to enforce the laws of the State of Minnesota. I believe current state law is sufficient to protect the public safety while providing individuals the right to keep and bear arms.
If the State of Minnesota desires to change current law, then it must do so through the legitimate process of legislation. In my opinion it is a moral sin to erode freedom through obscure regulation and administrative rules. I believe this is also true for both State and Federal Government.
I do not believe the Federal Government or any individual in the Federal Government has the right to dictate to the states, counties or municipalities any mandate, regulation or administrative rule that violates the United States Constitution or it various amendments. I would view any such mandate, regulation or administrative rule illegal and refuse to carry it out.

First- infiltrators and traitors must recruit deviants, failures and the mentally ill to their cause. Then these destructive liminal alienated people must be given their own political causes to fight for- ridiculous contrarian concepts such as pseudo-feminist extremism, homosexual "rights", homosexual "marriage", welfare metastasization, anti-white racism, attacks on the family, and the characterisation of law enforcement and the military as thugs, killers, criminals and "uncool" people. Gangsters and gansterism of all kinds must be popularised.
Second- when these dark forces have begun to take control, step up infiltration of schools and universities. Nothing is more appealing to children and the mentally infantile than being told that their half-formed ideas, selfish need for gratification and instinctive laziness are appropriate and even inspired ways of behaving. All forms of self-discipline, critical thought and self-denial must be attacked at every opportunity.
Third- infiltrate both sides of politics. Prevent any new political movements from reforming the bilateral system of control. Attack the generally corrupt and incompetent criminally minded people who form most of the political / media class by bribery, flattery and anything else that will dominate the weak minded. Remember never to show your contempt for them though- praise them at all times as being superior beings. These useful idiots will be executed in the "normalisation" phase (see Hungary, Poland, Czekoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Cuba, China, Russia).
Fourth- turn people from their fundamental moral values by appealing to their base natures with pornography, food poisoned with depressants and a constant barrage of inappropriate addictive media. Remember that Aldous Huxley correctly predicted that libraries would not be burned; they would simply be ignored by a craven devolved population of brutish excitement addicts.
These four steps will lead to "instability"- in actuality the death throes of civilisation. At that point the attack is irreversible; it must, as due to a law of nature, lead to one of the following three outcomes: TAKEOVER, CIVIL WAR or INVASION. Invasion includes invasion by forces sympathetic to civilisation, to restore it. However most of the citizens will fight against rescuers- by this point most of the citizens are barbaric monsters.
When liberty is screaming for help, don't bitch when she dies. You're the problem. You turn up the volume to drown out her cries instead of fighting for her like this brave Sheriff.
