I still think the political class simply shouldn't receive ANY extra entitlements at all, and should have no special means of transport or support provided at all, other than for clearly legal and authorised official business.
We don't need a class of parasites forming a permanent kakistocracy.
And let us dispense for all time with the absurd arguments that lower pay and grease would deter people from seeking office.
People compelled to seek office do so for three reasons:
1. love of power
2. desire to control others
3. love of power
