THE Greens' lead ACT Senate candidate and former GetUp! chief Simon Sheikh faces calls to resign or be sacked after records at the corporate watchdog appeared to show he was still at the helm of a GetUp! subsidiary.
Mr Sheikh has repeatedly denied any links with GetUp! since becoming a candidate. Australian Securities & Investments Commission papers show he is director and secretary of a company called Community Campaigning Pty Ltd. The company is a subsidiary of GetUp! registered in February last year that shares a registered office and a principal place of business with the left-wing activist group.***
