ACT Greens senate candidate Simon Sheikh was a financial member of the Labor Party from 2004 until 2008, when he resigned to head the left-wing political activist group GetUp!
Mr Sheikh, 27, who made a virtue of his political impartiality while running GetUp! and regularly brushed off claims of Labor-Green bias, has not disclosed his past political affiliation in a range of media profiles or on his personal website.
