President Yudhoyono is steeped in Javanese culture.  He's seldom direct, never rude and often speaks in the adorned metaphors that the animist Javanese illustrate their conversations with.   When he speaks of Australia leaving the sugar on the table, he's pointing to wayward Indonesian children whose job it is to clean up after meals.   Every child knows that if you leave sugar on the table, you'll see one or two ants pop up to have a taste.  Wait a minute and there will be several continuous line of ants established in Ibu's nice clean kitchen.   Small Indonesian children know that you don't leave the family's sugar spilt on the table.   Families that value their stuff look after it and they don't encourage visitors to come and help themselves.

Got the message Kev?   How does Fairfax morph the fact that The Rudd created a huge problem into a chance to whack Abbott?  What motivates them to see it from that perspective?
